My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie Mae and Ollie are a bonded pair of best friends who were surrendered to HSOV on December 15, 2024 for a very sad reason .. Their mistress (who had loved them dearly) was in hospice care and could no longer take care of her beloved cats .. And she passed away a few days later knowing that Sophie and Ollie were safely in our shelter and would be loved by our kennel techs and eventually would find another special someone to give them a good home.

Sophie Mae is 9-years old and her birthday is July 5, 2015). She has a brown tabby medium-haired coat with a large patch of white on her chest, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with golden eyes, nice 'ear furnishings', a brown velvet nose and long white whiskers. Sophie Mae is a petite little lady who weighs 6 lbs. She has a friendly, rather demure, personality.

Oliver (affectionately known as "Ollie") is 5 years old and his birthday is March 5, 2019. He has a buff short smooth coat in a tabby pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby face with dark gold/bronze eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Ollie is a big boy who weighs 21 lbs. He has a super friendly, outgoing personality.

Sophie Mae & Ollie were given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on December 15, 2024. They were given booster vaccines on December 29, 2024.

Sophie Mae has not yet been spayed, so she will be spayed in the near future (tentatively in late January 2025) after being examined by a veterinarian to ensure that she can safely undergo the procedure since she is technically a 'senior citizen'.

Ollie has already been neutered.

Sophie Mae and Ollie are being listed as a Bonded Pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. Sophie Mae especially depends upon Ollie for a sense of comfort/security. They are sharing a small cage and are real soulmates.

Sophie Mae and Ollie are litterbox trained, and they get along with other cats.
