Pearl arrived at FVHA as a stray in early January

This affectionate pup is in desperate need of a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can finish heartworm treatment!

Due to the nature of heartworm treatment, it is important for her to have a calm environment to recover in. The ideal home would have no dogs and cats (as this can increase excitement) and either no children or calm, older children. Her treatment will be fully covered by FVHA, all she needs from you is a comfy home, some snuggles, and someone to bring her back for treatments until she is cleared by our vet team for adoption!

Pearl is sure to keep you laughing with her sweet, silly personality. It might be a while before she can romp and run like she wants to, but your efforts will surely be worth it! We can envision her being the best adventure buddy once she is heartworm free!

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

If you are interested in adopting and meeting one of our adoptable animals one-on-one, we will have you fill out our adoption questionnaire.

2.
Meet the Pet

After completing the adoption questionnaire, you will be paired with one of our Adoption Counselors to help you find the right match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a match is made, we will finalize the adoption paperwork and have you sign an adoption contract.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is signed you may take your new pet home, typically same day!

The Fox Valley Humane Association believes in caring for pets and their people. We have an open adoption process, and our goal is to get to know potential adopters on a personal level and best match them with a new companion. We encourage you to stop by during our open hours to meet our adoptable animals.

The Fox Valley Humane Association is open to the public during the following hours. You do not need an appointment to view our adoptable animals, we welcome visitors anytime during our viewing hours. In order to best serve you, please plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to closing to meet with an Adoption Counselor and ensure adequate time to visit with our adoptable animals.
