A24922 Sharon is a tan with white colored, approximately 4-year-old, 54-pound, spayed female, Pitbull.
She entered the shelter as a stray on 01-13-2025 and was altered by our medical staff.
Sharon is a friendly, calm, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff says she takes a minute to warm up to you, but once she does, she loves affection and being next to you. She is a sweet, calm, quiet girl who was excited to come out for a walk. She was easy to leash and very well behaved on our walks. No pulling, a nice easy walker who stops when the handler stops. She has a friendly interest in other dogs here at the shelter, wanting to smell them all. She is not a barker and will calmly lie on her blanket while the dogs around her are barking. She has had some training and will “sit” and “lay down” upon command. Sharon will be a loving companion in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
