Meet Helmut!

Adorable little Helmut entered the Department of Riverside Animal Services as a stray. When he wasn't claimed (we don't understand how someone couldn't be missing him!), he became a Frosted Face on January 13th. Helmut is estimated to be 8 years old, and he weighs 16 lbs.

Helmut is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling in a home with 2 big dogs, 3 cats, a toddler, and three adults. Only a few days into his Fling, Helmut is already earning rave reviews from his Fling Mom:

"Although Helmut is listed as a stray, he was 100% somebody’s love. I can tell he’s very recently lived in a home.

* rides great in the car on someone’s lap
* excellent at restaurants. He sits under your chair
* loves his walks. Keeps up with our big dogs, 1 mile twice a day
* likes our cats/keeps his distance
* refuses to NOT sleep in bed with you. He must be near his person at all times.
* sleeps through the night. 100% potty trained
* prefers wet food
* tolerates a toddler who’s respectful of his space
* sits on a dog bed at my feet while I work from home
* likes toys and tennis balls

We have fostered 100+ cats and dogs and only kept 2. If I was in the market for a small dog and had space, Helmut would be number 3. He’s so, so, so perfect!"

Choose a Program: Review the chart below and determine the time commitment that works best for you.

Express Interest: Fill out the Placement Questionnaire as completely and thoughtfully as possible so we can understand your expectations.

Invitation: Within 24 hours a Placement Coordinator will email follow up responses and schedule an appointment for you to visit Frosted Faces Foundation!

a. You will be invited to bring your family and pets to introduce to the Frosted Faces to ensure compatibility. We can show you how a dog interacts with cats on loose leash while you are here!

b. If the match is not successful, the Frosted Face is always welcome to come back to FFF and you will be invited to meet others!
