My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buster is a lively and energetic young pup who’s full of enthusiasm for life! He’s ready to find a home that can match his zest and give him the guidance he needs to be his best!

Buster is a high-energy pup who loves to explore, play, and have fun with his people. He’s incredibly food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for training. While he’s still working on his manners—like keeping all four paws on the floor when there’s food around—he knows “sit” and takes treats gently most of the time.

He’s happiest when he’s on the move and would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and enrichment. If you’re ready to channel Buster’s big personality into a life full of love, learning, and adventure, he might be the perfect fit for you!

Eligible for rescue and adoption. Meet Buster at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Behavior notes:
01/16/2025 staff notes:
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Buster was on the opposite side of kennel alert barking. When the handler called to him he came running to the front with wide eyes and was very aroused. He was trying to push out of kennel, but remained fairly easy to leash still.

LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls strongly
Tries to get to any food he can

HANDLING :
Buster was very aroused and high energy in the room. He bulldozed around the room with wide eyes, mid to high level wags and was very excitable. He was very very food motivated, but lacked manners and would try to jump on the table for food, try to steal treat pouches and was not very well mannered about it. He did show knowledge of sit and took the treats gently from our hands at times, but snatchy other times. He allowed all over handling from both of us in the room and remained loose and wiggly, but very aroused.

PLAY:
Engaged in play, very aroused

TOYS
Showed interest but no possession

01/15/2025 staff notes: One of the owners'; "neighbors" noted he was trying to fight the other dog it came in with but owner stated that was not the case. Dog came in really stiff and huffing. Allowed leashing and walked to dog intake with no problem. Seems to be ok with strangers/ humans. May have problems with other dogs/ animals.
