Meet our Hope who lives up to her name well! She had a rough upbringing but it never stopped her amazing personality, she is so playful and loving with people. Hope loves a good belly rub, every toy she can get her paws on and is obsessed with treats. Hope is a very smart girl and knows a couple tricks already but could easily and eagerly learn more with time. She has done well with dogs in the shelter, she is super high energy and likes to run with her playmates but seems to get annoyed easily with them. She isn't afraid to communicate her feelings with dogs and people which is what makes her so personable! Hope would do well in a home where she is the center of attention, getting lots of exercise and treat puzzles to eep her mind running!

Lake Norman Humane utilizes a conversational approach to the adoption process to help find the best match for your household. Please stop in to speak with an adoption counselor Tuesday-Friday between 12:00PM-6:00PM and on Saturday between 12:00PM-4:00PM.

We welcome visitors during our business hours:

Tuesday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Please note that the last tours are taken back 30 minutes before closing.

No appointment is needed to stop by during these hours! Upon arrival, you’ll complete a short adopter profile, and our team will pair you with an adoption counselor to help find your perfect match.

We offer same-day adoptions, but if you have a dog at home, we require a meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility.
