Mr. Whiskers is an adult male tuxedo cat with a charming personality, a heart full of love, and EPIC white whiskers!
Found at an apartment complex where he was likely left behind, this dapper fellow has quickly shown himself to be an incredibly friendly and affectionate companion.
One of Mr. Whiskers' most endearing traits is his adorable chirping sounds—he loves to communicate and will follow his humans around, eager to be part of their activities. His curious nature ensures he’s always ready to explore and check out what’s happening in his home.
While he has experience living with cats and gets along with most, he can occasionally be a bit sassy. He would likely thrive as the only feline in the household. Mr. Whiskers did not enjoy being around dogs and found them very frightening, so a dog-free home is best for him.
Loving and chill, Mr. Whiskers is ready to find a forever home where he can be the center of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, talkative companion to brighten your days, Mr. Whiskers is your guy! Come meet him and fall in love!
Mr. Whiskers is currently at our PetSmart location on Woodward. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
