My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Toasty Marshmallow: A Resilient and Loving Flame-Point Gentleman!

Toasty Marshmallow is a stunning medium-haired boy with soft, white fur accented by flame-point orange markings on his ear tips and tail. This gorgeous guy is as sweet as his name suggests and ready to find his forever family.

Toasty’s journey hasn’t been easy. Abandoned by his previous owners and found in poor condition after surviving an attack, he was taken in and lovingly nursed back to health by his foster family. Despite his hardships, Toasty has remained an affectionate, gentle soul with so much love to give.

Why Toasty is so special:

Lap Cat Extraordinaire: Toasty adores cuddles and will happily curl up in your lap for snuggles and purrs.

Cat-Friendly: He enjoys the company of other cats and would thrive with a feline friend.

FIV+: Toasty is FIV-positive, but that doesn’t stop him from living a happy, healthy life. FIV+ cats have the same life expectancy as other cats and can live with non-FIV cats in a harmonious household.

Fluffy and Fabulous: His soft, medium-length coat is a dream to pet, making him even more irresistible.

Unwavering Sweetness: Toasty’s loving nature shines through in every interaction—he’s proof that love can conquer all.

Toasty Marshmallow is neutered, litter box trained, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you’re looking for a resilient, affectionate, and endlessly sweet companion, Toasty Marshmallow is the perfect match.

Give this beautiful boy the second chance he deserves.

Toasty Marshmellow is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
