My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Venus is an adorable senior gentleman who is with us as his elderly owner was not able to care for her pet anymore. She made sure, though, to tell us that he was perfect in every way! Quite a strong statement but likely very true! Venus is indeed a lovely chap, real cute too and so gentle looking, soaking up all the attention and the love he can get at the care center. He is petite and looks at people with sweet eyes inlaid in the cutest vanilla face framed with bright stripes. Venus would be wonderful with visitors, kids, cats and dogs, well mannered and quite energetic for a thirteen year old kitty. Venus does come with some medical "markers" of his age and the need for observation or treatment(need for a special diet and cardiac work up) will have to be discussed with the adoption counselors and between Venus' adopter and his/her veterinarian. Venus is an amazing kitty, so ready to give a lot of love to his new family. Come and meet him very soon at the Manhattan Care Center.

I can go home today!

I lived with children in my previous home.

I have lived with cats in my previous home.

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I am a sweet, social, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home!

I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.

Venus interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience and demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
