My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name’s Lucy and I am a 2 month old (1/21/2025) little Terrier mix. I was being given away at a grocery store with my siblings at 6 weeks old but luckily a Good Samaritan intervened and got me to safety.

I am thriving in my foster home, just playing and sleeping my days away. I currently live with my litter sibling, Marie, as well as two other dogs. There are also two children (ages 8 and 10) here in the home who help take care of me. I have not met any cats yet.

I am all puppy so I am constantly looking for ways to find mischief, chewing on anything I can get, but my foster family keeps me safe and is teaching me how to be a good girl. Please put in an application if you would like to be my forever family!

Additional adoption info

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
