My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for an older beautiful and loveable kitty with a purr like a motorboat, then you need to stop by and visit cutie-pie Callie in Room 5.

Even though she is 12+ she still loves to play. A couple of her favorite toys are a peacock feather and a stringy toy with a mouse on it that she can chase after or jump up in the air. If you love the purring sound of a kitty, then you have come to the right place. Callie has the loudest purr in her that you can hear from across the room. She loves people and will cuddle with you as long as you will let her, and might even put you to sleep with her purring.

Although Callie has done well with her roommates at HART, she tends to be selective and can be grumbly if others get too close. She also has a few medical issues, for which she takes medication and needs to continue in her new home, (at her age who doesn't) which are very manageable. Because of this, her adopter must have an established vet relationship.

If you think Callie is the kitty for you, please fill out an adoption application online and a member of our adoption or socialization team will contact you to come into the shelter and meet her.
