Hi! My name is Max and I’m a wee Yorkie mix about 6 years old, 12 lbs, handsome as can be, and I was surrendered to the NY ACC when my owner could no longer care for me. I’m a happy little guy with a medium energy level, friendly to people and other dogs, and I love to play. I should let you know that I’m obsessed with destroying all squeakers! Yep, if a toy has a squeaker inside, I’m dismantling it immediately to get that squeaker out!! I’m affectionate and cuddly and attached to you like Velcro, but won’t freak out if you leave home without me. I’m a good boy in a home, no chewing or digging, and working on housebreaking. I love going for walks, I’m communicative and will speak my mind when put in a crate but will soon settle down and take a nap. My foster mom says I’m a lovebug with a good personality but need leadership from my owners, so I don't try to run the household, LOL. I’m currently in a foster home in Connecticut so you can easily stop by to meet me and fall in love!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
