Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Howdy, Y’all, I'm Cady (pronounced Katie) from Texas. I’m 5 years old, 12 lbs and I was surrendered to the city of San Antonio Animal Services along with 4 of my housemates, all of us in pretty bad shape with mange. It was awful. We were itchy, feeling miserable, and looked horrible missing most of our fur, and for me mostly on my face. My foster mom saved us all from euthanasia, knowing it was an easy fix requiring special medicated baths and lots of patience waiting for our hair to fill back in, but look at me now! I’m healthy, happy, and feeling beautiful, although the hair around my eyes is still filling in. My housemates are already adopted in the Tri-State area, so now it's my turn to finally get my life back on track in a healthy and well-cared-for way, and I can hardly wait!
I am a medium-energy girl with an easygoing attitude, a little shy at first, and friendly with other dogs. I like chew bones and a bit of playtime, but mostly just being with my people being all loved up and cared about. That’s really all most dogs want is to be loved and cared for and these days I’m feeling pretty special and show my gratitude with lots of love and cuddles, being close to my people, but never clingy or annoying about it. My foster mom says I am very low maintenance, independent, and loyal to my people, and because I’ve had a rough life, I deserve a devoted family. I’m a good little lady, well-behaved in a home, already housebroken, only bark to alert, no separation anxiety, and although I’m ok in a crate, I’m just tolerating it for you, and I do not need to be kept in one anyway. I am allowed free-range status in my foster home so I can do what I want, when I want, relax in my dog bed, sleep beside you at night, and go for walks to the park. My future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to joining a wonderful family anywhere on the East Coast. Inquire about me today!

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
