Meet ASPEN!
• Male
• Great Pyrenees/Lab mix
• 9 months old
• 55 pounds
• Medium energy
• Good with dogs
• Great in a harness
• Appears to be potty trained
Wrapped in fur and wisdom far beyond his years, Aspen moves through life with the gentleness of an old soul. In his foster home, he's been collecting gold stars as the kind of companion who radiates quiet affection. Good on walks, hikes and in the car – he doesn’t mind a good adventure just as long as you’re there! If you're dreaming of a steady, devoted friend with unconditional loyalty, Aspen might just be the missing piece to your family puzzle.
Aspen is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

More about this rescue
Highland Lakes Canine Rescue was founded in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by a group of folks who wanted to rescue homeless dogs from the Central Texas region and care for their health, rehabilitation and then to ultimately find these dogs a forever home uniting them with a newly adopted family. Initially HLCR started out as a foster only organization but over the 17 years has grown into it's own location with a kennel facility, outdoor pens, walking trails and staff and resident caretaker. An active and passionate group of staff and volunteers works tirelessly supporting HLCR and its mission.
