My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Jasper, a two-year-old German Shepherd mix with beautiful eyes and a waggy tail! Are you ready to play with me? I love going out to play, and you can tell how happy I am by how wiggly I get! I also already know "sit" AND I give kisses. What more could you ask for? Am I the perfect doggy for you?

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate and transport (if you are out of state - varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), spay/neuter, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

After an applicant has been screened, we conduct a home visit, vet reference check and personal reference checks. If the applicant is approved, we schedule a meet and greet.

We arrange in-person meet and greets with our foster families once an applicant is approved as long as the dog is local and if not local, then the meet and greet will be done virtually.
