Encore is a striking black and white paint gelding! He is solidly built and has such a sweet expression. We don`t have a full picture of Encore`s history, but we do know that he was pulled from an auction about two years ago and has been living with his herd ever since.

Encore is definitely a sensitive soul, but he has settled into life at Nevins Farm very nicely. He leads calmly to and from turn out in just a regular halter and cotton lead rope. He is a flexible horse who has easily lived outside 24/7 with access to a run-in shed as well as come into a stall at night with day turnout. He`s not very playful in his paddock and instead is very serious about eating. We have turned him out with geldings and mares and he has been at the top of the herd order in all arrangements. He is not overly bossy but will always be the first to eat the best hay!

He can be groomed, bathed, and fly sprayed. The flies love this guy, but fly boots made a huge difference in his comfort this summer! He still needs a bit of TLC as he has a bad case of rain rot, but with consistent grooming and access to shelter, it should clear up in time. Encore was even the lucky recipient of a massage while in our care which he really seemed to enjoy.

We have just started some basic groundwork with Encore in our arena. He has no physical limitations, but would need a slow build up on the ground before pursuing any ridden work.
