Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $650 + taxes
Location: Foster Home
Tug is a sweet and loving pup with a heart full of joy! With his perfect balance of playful puppy energy and snuggly lap-dog vibes, he’s ready to bring endless love to his forever home.
Tug loves making friends, whether it’s with his foster puppy sibling, the big resident dogs, or new people (who can expect plenty of tail wags and puppy kisses). He’s already showing off his smarts by learning commands like “sit” and “stay” and is doing an amazing job with kennel training. Tug is also making great progress with potty training—he’ll even cue at the door when it’s time to go outside (though he wouldn’t mind a buddy to brave the cold with).
Whether he’s romping around with other dogs or soaking up all the love in a single-dog household, Tug will fit right in with a playful and caring family. Ready to welcome this cuddly, clever pup into your life? Tug can’t wait to meet you!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
