My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Baul, the ultimate social butterfly! This Jindo mix boy, who sports a sleek black and white coat, has a heart as big as his love for people and dogs alike.
He's about 3-4 years old and weighs about 16 kg

Baul is as friendly as they come. Whether it’s someone he knows or a total stranger, he happily approaches for pets and even leans in for affection. He adores both men and women and is fantastic with kids under 13. He’s so trusting that he’ll let you pick him up or rub his belly, even if you’ve just met!

Baul’s charm extends to his canine friends too. He’s eager to greet and play with dogs of all sizes but especially enjoys romping with those close to his size. If another dog gets a bit pushy, Baul might give a playful warning bark, but he’s quick to avoid any actual conflict. He’s the perfect mix of playful and polite! When it comes to cats, Baul keeps his cool—even if a cat hisses, he simply walks away.

With a moderate energy level, Baul loves outdoor activities but knows how to relax afterward. He’s great on walks, though he might pull a little at first from excitement. Thankfully, he’s a quick learner and responds well to gentle guidance, making strolls with him a breeze. Baul is a gentleman through and through. He doesn’t guard food, rarely barks, and is calm and well-mannered in a kennel. He’s also fully potty-trained for outdoor only, making him a perfect fit for any home.

This gentle, good-mannered boy is the whole package—loving, playful, and smart.
If you’re looking for a dog who’s great with people, dogs, and even cats, Baul is ready to bring his joy and charm into your life!

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
