Meet Benny, the hunk of love!

There really aren’t enough words to describe this fella, but let’s start with his story:

Benny is 5-6 years young, though he still acts like a puppy—he’s got that much energy!

Benny was surrendered to the shelter after he was hit by a car and hurt his leg. So, pay no mind to the cast because he’s almost healed, and it doesn’t bother him at all!

Benny travels like a champ in the car. He loves to feel the wind in his face and will stick his head out the window.

This boy is a star! Everywhere he goes, people stop to pet him, and he enjoys every single moment of it. People are met with kisses galore—he even likes the vet!

He would fit perfectly into any active home. A home with children would be better suited for him because he loves kids and other dogs.

He’s not very sure about cats, but he just ignores them.

He has to stop and say hi to everybody, so if you are out walking, please know it may take a while!

He’s got the best ears, too—one stands perfectly straight up, and the other one has a mind of its own.

Benny screams “Pick me! Pick me!” because he’s got such a wonderful disposition!

He’s up to date on all his shots, and he will be neutered before his adoption.

Benny is currently located in California, but he’s willing to travel!

So, if a huge goofball of fur is what will complete your family, he’s an absolute dream!

More about this rescue

Our mission is to save the lives of dogs facing euthanasia in high-kill shelters nationwide by pledging funds that enable rescues to take in, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. On occasion, if we do not have a local rescue in place in the city the dogs are in, we bring them to Illinois to avoid their euthanasia. They are placed in boarding for vetting, once done, they are promoted for fostering or adoption.
