Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello all! I'm a beautiful young 2-year-old Siberian Husky found on the streets of NY. I was brought to the NY city shelter where there were a lot of dogs just like me hoping that someone would step in and save them. Apparently, there are not a whole lot of people that want huskies so I just sat there for months until eventually I was put on the euthanasia list and then 4 Little Paws Rescue stepped in to save me!
They brought me to CT and put me to work. I've had an amazing trainer who helped me with my obedience training. I've learned many things, but most importantly I learned that I am a typical husky! I am young and full of energy and LOVE various activities. If you understand what a husky needs to burn off energy, then I am your gal. I dream about a family that is active and likes long walks, hiking, running, playing, beach, and basically anything active - I will do all of it happily. I love drinking from a running water hose and I also love stuffed toys. A good round of tug-of-war is the best. I am great with other dogs, and I guess you can call me a social butterfly. Sometimes I could be a bit much for the smaller guys, but I am always friendly and FUN. Actually, speaking of size, you can call me a pocket husky! That’s right! I am not even 40 lbs and very girly.
I'm looking for someone who will have fun and exercise with me and we can have a beautiful life together.
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
