Ruger is a purebred English Springer Spaniel (historically a working breed) who was surrendered by his owner. The reason? After a baby arrived, as well as another dog, he began guarding his toys and food from the other dog. The guarding was directed entirely at the other dog, not people. Not only is Ruger housetrained, he is also used to snuggling in the bed with his humans. Ruger is quite anxious, understandably, after losing his home. He also has an abundance of energy, absolutely typical of a Springer Spaniel. Ruger is good with children, men and women. He can be selective with other dogs, so a meet and greet would be advised to start off on the right paw. Ruger is an outstanding example of his breed and wants nothing more than another human to love and snuggle with. Ruger is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.
