This spunky, fearless black-and-white kitten is bursting with energy! At just 3 months old, Davey is an independent, playful explorer who is ready to keep you entertained with the silly antics.
Davey spends her days chasing toys around the house, waking up her furry housemates with a little nibble, and finding cozy spots to relax when she’s all tuckered out. She thrives on activity, but doesn’t need constant interaction to stay entertained. She’s perfectly happy entertaining herself, running after laser pointers, or exploring every nook and cranny. When she’s ready to wind down, she’ll cuddle up with her humans—but only on her own terms.
Currently living in a bustling household with two resident cats, a foster brother, and two dogs, Davey gets along well with everyone. She’s fearless, playful, and always ready to bop her housemates (or humans!) on the head in good fun.
Davey has been very easy to care for in her foster home, and has no known health issues. She has not been declawed while in our care.
Davey’s ideal home would include an older, patient cat or another playful kitten who enjoys chasing and wrestling. She loves being the baby of the group and has a knack for keeping everyone on their toes. Humans in her forever home should be ready to give her space and let her come to them for snuggles when she’s ready.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits.

For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
