Hi there! My name is Yuki, and I’m a one-year-old boy with a soft, fluffy coat that’s perfect for snuggling (once I’m brave enough, of course!).
I didn’t have the easiest start—being in the shelter was so scary for me. I spent a whole month waiting for someone to notice me, but no one did. Then, just when I thought no one would come for me, Hero Rescue saved me!
At first, I was so nervous. I hid in my foster’s closet because the big, wide world felt too overwhelming. My sister was much braver than me—she started loving people right away and found her forever home. Seeing her get adopted made me think, “Maybe it’s my turn now.”
So, I started peeking out of the closet… then watching my foster as she read (she didn’t seem so scary)… and before I knew it, I was hanging out with her and all the other friendly cats in the house!
I’ve come so far, but I still need someone patient who’ll give me time to feel safe and loved. Once I know I can trust you, I promise to fill your heart with purrs and cuddles. I love other cats and have even reacted well to dogs—they don’t bother me at all!

ADOPTION PROCESS
1. Review our adoption contract and application.
2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling.
3. Submit an application, including the cat's name that you are interested in or description of what you are looking for.
4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 1-3 days.
5. If approved, you will be introduced to the foster to schedule a meeting within 5 days. Guidelines for the meeting are:
- Bring a carrier and be prepared to take the animal home directly from the meeting.
- Please be prepared to submit the adoption fee via electronic payment at the meeting.
- If all goes well, the cat will go home with you directly after the meeting. If you are not ready to adopt at the conclusion of the meeting, please understand that we may process other applications for the cat. Because we have a limited number of foster homes, we cannot hold cats past adoption.

OUR SPAY AND NEUTER POLICY
The Hero Rescue charges a $100.00 spay/neuter deposit with every unaltered puppy that is adopted. The purpose of the deposit is to ensure the puppy will be altered before she/he reaches 6 months of age. This $100 deposit is refundable if adopter provides proof of sterilization within 14 days of the procedure. After the adoption is completed, all vetting (spay/neuter, boosters, heart worm and flea prevention) are the responsibility of the adopter. This deposit will not be returned if the animal is not spayed/ neutered within the established timeline.

Puppies up to Six Months Old- $400 plus a refundable $100 Spay/Neuter Deposit ($500 total due at adoption)
Dogs Six Months and Up - $300
