PANCAKE hails from Sandy Lake and was part of our Breakfast Club who came south to find their forever families. She’s had her first 2 sets of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. She was found all alone so we have no information on either parent so the breed she is and the size she’ll grow to be is just a guess. She’s a perfect combination of snuggles and energy. She loves being around her people and playing with her many dog toys.
PANCAKE is crate trained and will sleep quietly in it at night and also take naps in there during the day. She’s really good at using the bathroom outside and has had very few accidents in the home. It’s still a work in progress though as she’s not at the stage to ask to go outside yet. She’s just started to go on walks and like all puppies, she excitedly runs ahead of you. She often uses the bathroom on her walks too. She loves to chew so she has several chewy toys plus Nyla bones to keep her busy. She has no food aggression at all but does have a slow feeder to slow her down. She sits for her meals and will take treats “gentle.” She’s a very smart girl and picks up very quickly on commands.
PANCAKE’s ideal family would be an active one who loves the outdoors, going on hikes, walks and will take her on an adventure or two. She’s fostered with other puppies and kittens and gets on well with them all. She does chase the kittens but it’s just to play with them and have a wrestle. She would definitely suit a home with a cat or another dog but would do equally as well in her home provided she wasn’t left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6 and up and she does require a fenced-in yard.
Puppies are cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We need her adopter to take her for puppy/obedience training to help her become a well mannered and good girl. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spayed by the time she’s 6 months of age. It will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. We do need it to still be done by 6 months of age and we need a copy of the invoice and a picture of her (preferably in a cone or onsie) in order to do the reimbursement.
If PANCAKE sounds like she’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet her.
