*** Turkey is at The Cat Cafe in downtown San Diego. ***
Turkey: solid black, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 11/23/23, #19507
Cats: does well Dogs: unknown Children: older kids welcome
BACKGROUND: Turkey was found at a golf course on Thanksgiving Day (hence his name) very underweight and lethargic. His savior got him to her vet and nursed him back to health, but wasn’t able to keep him permanently. She reached out to The Rescue House for help finding this sweet guy a happy and loving home to call his own.
PERSONALITY: Turkey is a wonderful kitty who loves to get pets and scritches. He is friendly to all humans right away and any other animals who will accept him. He loves belly rubs, head scratches, behind the ears, under the chin, pretty much all over. Cuddles are welcome, though he’s an active young fellow who also enjoys his space and isn’t Velcro-level clingy. He has things to do and toys to play with and lots of energy to expend! (He’s still a kitten at heart.) Turkey can sometimes get overexcited when he’s in a playful mood and getting pets at the same time, and it’s then that he may nibble and grab at your hand, but he’ll readily switch to a kicker toy when you swap it out for your hand and save the pets for calmer moments.
COMPATIBILITY: Turkey is totally compatible with other cats so long as they’re good with him. We haven’t seen him around dogs to know for sure, though with his temperament our guess is that he might be okay if given a proper introduction. Turkey is good with kids who are old enough to give him space when he wants it and be consistent with playing versus petting times.
Turkey is a sweet, agreeable, and adaptable little guy who just wants to give and receive love. Will this handsome mini-panther become a beloved member of your family?
