My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you needing a loving and snuggly man for Valentine's Day?  Grandpa is the guy for you!

He loves to look longingly into your eyes while you pet his sweet head.  He gives the best kisses.  And because he came from Arkansas, Grandpa's coat is not Minnesota-ready, so he is ALL IN for hugs and snuggles.

He is estimated to be 8-years old and is pretty active.  Like all Malamutes, he is very people-oriented and wants to be with his family.  He likes to play and is learning to sing with our 5 other resident dogs.

Since he was in an Arkansas shelter for quite some time, he could be kennelled, but he would rather be out and about.  For the first few nights, when it was -20, we kept him in a 4-ft tall open pen to make sure he would not get "stuck" outside before he learned to consistently use the doggie door.  He rides great in a car and is fully house-trained.  Grandpa has great manners, does not counter surf, takes treats very gently, and knows sit, shake, and lay down too.  It's been too cold to take him for walks yet, but he was great on leash at pickup.  He is rarely left alone for more than an hour as we work from home.
Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:
$250.00
