Limerick is a 1 year old Cockapoo who can’t wait to rhyme his way into your heart and never let you go! Limerick was rescued from the shelter with a few of his poetic poodle pals in need of some TLC and a groom! One of our amazing volunteers gave him a bath and a haircut and suddenly we were seeing a whole new dog! Limerick weighs 15 pounds and has a gorgeous non-shedding coat. He is an option for allergies and will require regular grooming to ensure he stays looking fabulous! If you’re ready to expand your horizons and start reading poetry, why not start with a Limerick?

Limerick is an absolute sweetheart who would love to find a family ready to celebrate how amazing he is! He is a people dog who loves to cuddle, receive pets, and lounge by your side. He is also super playful and loves playing with his plush toys as he shows off his zoomies in the yard. Limerick is very curious and sniffs around the neighborhood on his daily walks, always finding the best spots to stop and smell the roses. He is very smart and food motivated and has already started learning sit, stay, come, and “watch me” with his foster mom. Limerick is the perfect blend of playful and laid back according to his foster mom. He loves his daily walks and zoomies but is also happy to lounge on the couch with you. Limerick would love to find a home where his human works from home or is home for a lot of the day as he loves being with his humans. He can’t wait to check out all the local nature spots with you as well! If you’re ready for the adventure of a lifetime, adopt Mr. Limerick!

Limerick wakes up at 8 AM and hangs out until he is ready for his morning stroll. He comes home for breakfast at 9 AM and then spends the rest of the morning playing with his toys, cuddling on an open lap, or napping on the couch. Around lunchtime, he enjoys a snack and then explores the backyard until he is ready for another nap. He has dinner at 6 PM before heading out on an evening walk. For the rest of the night, he snuggles and plays with his toys until he goes to bed around 11 PM.

Limerick lives with a resident 20 pound dog and they get along. He is curious about dogs he meets on walks. He loves meeting new humans and is always hoping they will slip him an extra treat (or three). Limerick walks well on a leash but would benefit from some additional training. He is house trained and crate trained. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plans for grooming and continued coat maintenance. Come and meet your rhyming pal today!

Limerick is an option for those who have owned a dog of their own in the past. Kids should be over the age of 7.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
