Meet Fiddlesticks, the 2 year old Smooth Fox Terrier-Rat Terrier mix who’s equal parts lovable goofball and energetic whirlwind! Rescued from the shelter, this little dynamo has quickly shown that life is meant to be lived at full speed—whether he's bouncing off the couch like a parkour pro or zooming around with his beloved toy ducky. Fiddlesticks may have started off as a quiet, cuddly couch companion, but don't let that fool you—once he settled in, his playful, feisty side came out in full force! He’s got an endless enthusiasm for tug-of-war, exploring the great outdoors, and most importantly, being wherever you are. Kitchen? He’s there. Bathroom? You bet. If you're looking for a loyal shadow with a wagging tail, Fiddlesticks has you covered.

A typical day with Fiddlesticks starts bright and early with a potty break and a hearty breakfast—because energy like his needs fuel! After a midday snack and his afternoon stroll (where he insists on sniffing every blade of grass), he’s ready for more fun and games until dinnertime. When the day winds down, Fiddlesticks proves he's a good boy by curling up in his crate and sleeping peacefully through the night. Fully potty-trained and crate-friendly (when you're home), he’s eager to please but does have a strong opinion about alone time—he's not a fan. If left alone too long, he’ll make sure you know exactly how much he misses you with an adorable little whimper that could melt even the toughest hearts.

While Fiddlesticks is bursting with love and laughter, he’s also looking for a family who can keep up with his zest for life and help him work through his separation anxiety. He’s a smart cookie who’s ready to learn and thrives with mental stimulation, lots of play, and maybe a few extra chew toys (because if it's within reach, it’s fair game). Despite his boundless energy, Fiddlesticks has impeccable manners with visitors and greets everyone with a friendly tail wag. If you're searching for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will keep you laughing with his high-flying jumps and hilarious antics, Fiddlesticks is ready to bounce his way into your heart and home!

Fiddlestick is an option for a home that has had dog experience. If there are children they need to be over the age of 5.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
