Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi, I’m Emeri! I’m a sweet, somewhat active kitty who’s been through a lot but is slowly learning to trust and enjoy life. I might be a bit shy at first and take my time warming up, but once I’m comfortable, I’m a loving, cuddly companion who enjoys attention—especially if you’re patient and give me the space I need.
I’m still getting used to being around other animals. I`ve been kept separate from my foster dog (a Bichon Frise), but we’re making progress! I have a funny way of seeing playtime with other animals—I once managed to push a door open and chased her around! Don’t worry, nobody was harmed; it was just me trying to have some fun. With a slow and proper introduction, I think I’ll be just fine with other dogs, but I definitely need my own time to adjust.
When it comes to people, I’m a bit shy and timid at first. I like to wait until everyone is settled before I come out for pets, but once I feel safe, I love them! I’ll be vocal about wanting attention, and I’ll happily curl up with you for some cuddles. One of my favorite quirky habits is dunking my catnip-filled toys into my water bowl—then I leave them in your bed as a little gift for you. I do still dislike being picked up (I’m not a fan of nail trims or Frontline treatments), but I’m not aggressive about it. I’ll just try my best to wiggle out, though I never bite or scratch.
Over time, I’ve gained a lot more confidence. I’m not as scared of loud noises anymore, but I do still get startled by sudden sounds, which might send me into hiding for a bit. But hey, that’s just part of my charm! The more time I spend with you, the more curious and brave I become. Plus, I’ve got this cute little heart-shaped mark on my top lip—how adorable is that?
I’m looking for a family who can respect my need for chill time and a cozy hiding spot when I need it. I’d love someone who enjoys watching me grow more confident and flourish in a safe, loving environment. If you`re patient and gentle, I’ll be the sweetest, most loving companion you could ask for!
