My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I`m Sassy, and I`m a sweet, friendly lady who loves hanging out with my people, but I also enjoy my quiet time to myself. I might get startled easily (I`m a bit jumpy sometimes), but when I`m comfy, I love laying next to you and getting head scratches—those are the best! I don’t really like cuddling, though, so I’ll be happiest just chilling nearby while you do your thing. Oh, and I’ll probably chat with you a bit—meowing and chirping when you talk to me. It`s just my way of saying hello!

I`m friendly and sweet, but I’m also a little shy. Sometimes, I might hiss and hide if something surprises me, but it’s never too serious. Once I realize it`s you, I’ll usually come out and meow to let you know I’m okay. I’m declawed, so even when I swat, it’s not too scary—more like a gentle pat. I do not like being picked up or carried, though. I prefer my feet on the ground, thank you very much!

I’m a calm and easy-going kitty. I’m not a fan of loud noises, like sneezing (ugh!), or brooms—they make me want to run and hide. But I do love soft places to nap and horizontal scratchers! Even though my claws aren’t around, I still like to scratch things. I also love my “junk food” treats, especially Friskies! And being brushed? Yes, please! It’s like a little spa session.

I’ve met older kids (15+), and I’m pretty good with them as long as they’re calm and quiet. Little ones, though? I’m not so sure I’d enjoy that—sometimes they don’t quite understand my boundaries. I’ve never met any other animals, so I’m not sure how I’d react to other pets, but I think I’d do better in a peaceful home where things are chill.

One of the best things about me? I’m a purr machine, and I snore when I sleep. Adorable, right? Also, I’m still revealing my personality day by day, so I bet you’ll discover more fun things about me as we get to know each other. My foster mom says when I`m happy I make biscuits!

Oh, and one more thing: I could stand to lose a little weight. I’m a bit on the chunky side, but a little healthy eating and some exercise could help me live my best life for many years to come.

If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, and relaxed companion, I just might be the perfect fit. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new adventure together!
