Meet Ireland!
This sweet 2-year-old girl is a beautiful red and white Pitbull Lab mix with the most loving personality. She’s got a heart of gold and is looking for her forever home where she can shower you with affection.
Ireland is a smart pup who already knows “sit” and is ready to learn more tricks with her new family.
She was found as a stray, but despite her rough start, she’s incredibly friendly and ready to bond with her humans.
She would do best in a home with kids 12 and up and, unfortunately, she’s not a fan of cats.
If you have another dog, a meet-and-greet would be needed to make sure she and your dog are a good match.
Ireland is ready to be your loyal companion—whether it`s going for walks, cuddling on the couch, or just being your best friend.

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
