My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Joey - though if he’s feeling formal, you can call him Joseph. This sleek black kitty might have a human name, but don’t be fooled - he’s all cat, and he’s here to win you over with his playful antics and charming personality!

Joey has that classic panther-like look, complete with a shiny black coat and eyes that seem to hold a million secrets. He’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, whether he’s pouncing on his favorite toy or curling up next to you for some quality snuggle time. And let’s be honest - there’s something endlessly entertaining about calling “Joseph” and seeing this little black shadow trot over for treats.

Ready to make Joey (or Joseph) part of your family? This dashing kitty can’t wait to find a home where he can be the star of the show. Come meet him and see how fun it is to have a Joey in your life!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
