Story
Hi, my name is Babs! I can't wait to meet you. I am a pretty low key girl, my favorite activity is looking out the window or out of the fenced yard at my foster's house! I am pretty quiet, but if my foster brother barks, I will join in. My other favorite activity is napping! I just came up to MN, but the first thing I did at my foster's house was choose my favorite chair for naps. Here are some facts about me:-I know to go potty outside, and it only took me one day at my foster home to learn that if I go to the back door, my mom lets me out!-I walk well on a leash, and I'm happy to go potty on a leash too! I would do fine in a fenced yard, or no yard since I am such a good girl on walks-I don't mind other dogs, but people are my favorite. I peacefully co-exist with the resident dog in my foster home, and any other dogs that come to visit. I mostly ignore other dogs. If they are overwhelming me, I find my foster mom and hide behind her so they leave me alone.-My foster mom has friends visit often, and I like everyone I meet. I love my foster mom best and like to follow her around, but I am okay being in another room than her, as long as I can check in and know where she is.-I sleep in bed with my foster mom and foster brother, and am free to roam the house when my foster mom is not home. I've never really been crated before, and it is scary for me, but I just nap or look out the window while I'm home alone, so I don't even need to be crated! However, my foster mom says crating is still a good skill to have so I am working on being brave and doing crate training. -I am learning basic commands- I know to sit and come when called! I am treat and praise motivated, and pretty smart, so it won't take too long before I know all the commands! I hope to meet you soon!Babs is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. Her treatment has been completed and she will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Babs will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi there! My  names Hugo! It’s a pretty big name for a low rider like me but it fits with my big personality! I just LOVE all people and dogs that I have met! My foster mom says that she thinks little kids might not be a great idea for me at this  time because I am still a bundle of energy and need some work on my manners, but you need to know I would NEVER purposefully hurt them. What can I say I just get so excited to see people that I sometimes forget that Four on the Floor is the rule! She does think that I would like to have another canine friend in the home that can match my energy and play style, however its not necessary as long as my family can give me the proper outlet for my energy. I LOVE to go on walks and smell all the smells!  Once I am tired or if everyone around me is busy I do enjoy playing with toys and chewing on bones! I really like crinkle toys, there is just something about the noise that makes my ears so happy.  I am a very curious boy who loves to be apart of any action that is happening.  I have lived with both canine and feline friends and get along great with all of them. My foster mom says that I am a super smart boy I know sit, no, and leave it. So the manners that I am lacking shouldn’t take long for me to master! Like I said I love my people so I am not a huge fan of my kennel and would much rather be with my person. Due to my curiosity my foster mom thinks that at this time I do need to be kenneled when no one is around to keep me out of trouble. I will sing the song of my people while in the kennel so no shared walls would probably be best unless your neighbors enjoy live music! I have heard from multiple people that I have the softest velvety ears they have ever touched and the cutest little waddle when I walk. I do have a funny front leg that turns to the side (from a previous injury that healed wrong?) but it has not slowed me down at all. Okay well  that’s all I have to say for now, I see my foster sibling getting his leash on so I better run! If you would like to learn more about me fill out an application and I will make sure my foster mom gets back to you! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2084747##

When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!!
