We adopted Hank from Texas 3 years ago. He is probably 7-9 years old. He is VERY calm around kids. My little one even played with his food once while Hank was eating without any growling or snapping. Hank’s ideal day is to sit at your feet while you work and then follow you wherever you go in case it is for a walk. We would love to keep him, but my job went from at home indefinitely to back in the office everyday. It is too long for him to stay alone as he gets anxious and rubs his nose raw.

Hello there! I’m Mateo, a lovable 2-year-old Basset Hound mix with charmingly stubby legs and ears that might remind you of Yoda! I was found on a sunny beach in Mexico, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be living the good life here in Minnesota with NDLB. I’m a snuggle enthusiast and love curling up close to my humans whenever I get the chance. I’ve quickly adapted to my new life and am learning new tricks – I’ve mastered “sit” and “kennel” (in English, no less!). I’m crate and house trained, and while I’m a bit of a food lover, I’m also eager to learn if treats are involved. I’m well-behaved in my crate and rarely bark, unless I see something interesting while we’re driving. I prefer to be close to someone in the car but I'm also happy to wait patiently in the back seat, and I do great in social settings like breweries where I can soak up all the attention and good vibes. I get along well with other dogs, though I might come on a bit strong at first. Once I’ve made a friend, I’m all in. I do pull a bit on the leash because I’m always following my nose, but I also enjoy a good zoomie session in the yard and love basking in the sun with my little legs stretched out. Would you be my forever family? I promise to shower you with love and snuggles every day! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fred is a super sweet, 7 month old possible, Bassador. It seems he could be a cross between a Lab and a Bassett Hound (and maybe a few other things in there). He is a very exuberant puppy, very excitable, wants to connect, with people, play with other dogs. A home that will keep him active and busy at least through these puppy stages will be best. He does have shorter, stumpier legs which is what makes him so charming and interesting. He would be a great playmate to an existing dog.
