Meet Angie! Angie and Ash (also available for adoption) were abandoned on a property that reportedly was set on fire. Authorities went to the property and discovered the two dogs. Unfortunately, a third dog perished in the fire. Angie and Ash were brought to San Bernardino City Shelter on October 25th, where they were scheduled to be euthanized on November 14th. Fortunately, we were able to rescue both of them, and they became Frosted Faces on November 12th. Angie and Ash live in our lobby (with a special group of Frosted Faces affectionately known as lobbyists) where they enjoy lots of attention and are most often found cuddling together on a big comfy dog bed. They love each other SO much, are great with other dogs, and love people, too! You will not find a pair more devoted to each other. They are so sweet! Angie and Ash are currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what they are like in a home and use that information to place them with a wonderful forever family - just like they deserve! Ash and Angie went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what they are like in a home and use that information to place them with a wonderful forever family - just like they deserve! Their Fling Mom reports: "Ash & Angie redefine what it means to be the perfect companions and just want a loving home to call their own. Ash & Angie have come so far, reciprocating love in their own way, happily snuggling, acknowledging us when we get home, and even requesting couch cuddles. Both are eating well, and adjusting perfectly to dry(er) food. We’ve found this to be best for Ash’s tummy. On their first outing, they nailed it! Ash got so much love from kids in his wheelchair, helping spread awareness about how amazing dogs (and people) with different abilities are. He chilled while we ate, and Angie stood sweetly by, taking it all in. These two are absolute gems, and if you’ve ever thought about fostering or adopting (especially a dog with special needs), now’s the time! Here’s why they’re paws-itively perfect: 🌟 Potty Training Pros Ash, has got the whole “heading toward the door” thing down—sometimes he just needs a little assist to get there in time. Angie? She’s a pacing pro—when you see her on the move, a quick “go outside!” does the trick. Minimal accidents and maximum potential! 🌟 Walkies, But Make It Fun We’ve got a special routine here: Angie gets a quick “pre-walk” to burn off her endless energy (she LOVES hills, by the way). Then we grab Ash, who zooms around in his wheels! Together, they make walk time a total adventure. 🌟 Foodies in the Making Ash & Angie have officially upgraded from wet-only meals to a tasty wet/dry mix, and they’re loving it! Angie’s working on her manners—she just gets a little too excited about dinner. Don’t we all? 🌟 Snuggle Squad They’re cuddle champions! These two nap and snuggle the majority of the day and sleep through the night. 🌟 Ash’s Wheels? No Biggie! Okay, let’s talk about Ash’s wheels. At first, we lovingly called him “Crasher” because he’d scoot into things. Now? He’s got the house layout memorized and is scooting and wobble walking like a champ! He doesn’t need the wheels indoors, but outside, he’s all about speed. Angie even plays guide pup for him sometimes, and it’s the sweetest thing ever. 🌟 Two’s Company, Not a Crowd Don’t let the idea of having two pups scare you off—these two are like peanut butter and jelly: better together! They support each other, wait for each other on walks, and get into cute little bouts of mischief together (hello, home detectives!). They’re no trouble—just double the love. 🌟 No Separation Anxiety = More Freedom for You Ash & Angie are totally chill when you’re away. These two have so much love to give, and all they need is someone with a big heart who’s ready to love on them!" At bedtime, they put themselves to bed in their favorite little nook and sleep soundly until at least 7 AM. They’re happy, well-adjusted, and such good pups!" Angie and Ash currently live in a foster home while they wait for their forever family. Might that be you? If you have room in your heart and home for this very sweet and resilient duo, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
We'll also keep you updated on Ash's adoption status with email updates.

Unfortunately, a third dog had perished in the fire. Ash and Angie were taken to San Bernardino City Shelter, and they became Frosted Faces together on November 12th. Ash is about 10 years old and weighs 35 lbs. He has paralysis of his hind end, but the good news is that Ash took to his wheelchair immediately and is already a pro! Ash does great on our weekly FFF hikes! He loves being by his bestie's side, and he has learned that the extra effort going uphill means big fun going down! This sweet boy is one tough cookie, and every volunteer that walks with him finds his determination and can-do spirit so inspiring. Story
Meet Snoopy Doo! Snoopy Doo entered Pasadena Humane Society as a stray and wasn't claimed. We scooped him up on November 30th to become a Frosted Face. Snoopy Doo is super sweet and friendly, enjoys the company of other dogs, does well with cats, and acts younger than his years. He is such a catch! Snoopy Doo went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home environment. He earned rave reviews for being an all-around good boy! Here is the full report about Snoopy's Fling Mom: "Snoopy loves everyone! He likes to be in the same room as his humans but not necessarily on their laps. He loves butt scritches, back rubs, and belly rubs. Snoopy will gently paw at you if he wants your attention or pets. It's the cutest thing, and he's the sweetest! We took Snoopy to my husband's office holiday party, and everyone loved him! They commented on how sweet and well-mannered he was. They couldn't get enough of him and gave him so much love which Snoopy welcomed. Snoopy is okay with being picked up to get into the car and on the couch. He had beds in multiple rooms, and while he wanted to be with us on the couch, he was content to sleep in his own bed (in the same room) at bedtime. Snoopy listens well when you instruct him to go to his crate but the door to the crate needs to remain open. He likes to nest in his blankets and pillows. At first, Snoopy was very interested in our cat but before the end of the first week, he had stopped chasing her and they relaxed on the couch together. I think he eventually realized she was part of our family. Snoopy gets very excited during our walks so a harness and a firm grasp of his leash is ideal. He doesn't bark but really likes to say hi (sniff) every dog and human he passes by, so there's some leash pulling but he's really respectful once he gets close enough to sniff. Once he gets his sniffs in, he's good to continue on his walk! We introduced Snoopy to our dog playgroup at the park near us, and he did great! He played and ran around with one of the younger huskies. We also took him to two off-leash parks where he happily ran with the other dogs (Snoopy acts much younger than his years!) He's definitely comfortable around dogs that are larger than him. Ideally, Snoopy's forever family will be an active one and a home where someone will be with him most of the time or is able to take him with them to work or run errands as Snoopy is still working on his anxiety. He was okay being home alone with our pets, but after an hour, he would start barking, but he was not destructive otherwise. Snoopy is tolerant of baths and loves the blow dryer afterwards. Snoopy likes to stick his nose out of the window to sniff during car rides, so a doggie booster seat would be nice for him. Snoopy only had one accident in our apartment and that was on our first night. If Snoopy needed to go outside of our potty schedule, he would let us know by pacing at the door." Snoopy is currently on a second Fling while he waits for his forever home. Might it be with you? To meet this loving and fun boy, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
