Tootsie is a delightful one-year-old, 41 lb. beagle/pit mix with the most soulful eyes and cutest ears you'll ever see! This adorable girl may be a little apprehensive about the big, wide world right now, but her gentle heart and energetic soul are just waiting to shine through with the help of a loving family! She is a happy pup who thrives on fun and adventure during the day, but Tootsie is also a snuggle enthusiast who will eagerly hop into your lap for cuddles once she feels at home. She has a charming nighttime routine, grabbing her beddy-time teddy to let you know it's time for bed. Tootsie is a super sweet and affectionate girl who has proven to be a loyal companion in a short amount of time. Tootsie is good with both dogs and cats, as well as children of all ages but a home that's slower-paced would be better for her. Upon being rescued we learned that she had a cruciate tear so she's awaiting surgery to have that repaired and then she should be good as new! For now, she will occasionally walk with a limp but is not in pain. She is an absolute ray of sunshine and has a gentle heart and energetic soul. This beautiful girl is ready to fill your days with joy and your nights with snuggles and can’t wait to meet you! Her adoption fee is $400 and Tootsie is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. You must be able to return to our vet in Bethel, CT next month for her surgery, which will be paid for by the rescue. Bagel the Beagle came to AATDR from a family that couldn't care for him anymore. He's a handsome boy who needs to know he's safe after a lot of changes in his recent life. That takes a little bit (only a little bit) of time. Once you're his person, he's a real cuddle-bug and you'll have a loyal and true friend for life. Bagel does need to be an only pet. He'll do best in a quiet, adult home. His idea of heaven is a securely fenced yard so he can wander around and use his beagle nose.
