Story
Beagle Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around a year or 2 old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org.

Story
A nice lady had been helping this dog for over a year. The owner just wouldn't take proper care of her and was breeding her on top of it. Finally the owner surrendered her. Meet our sweet, funny, Stormy Jane. She is a 5 year old (said to be registered) Beagle of about 23 pounds. Stormy has diabetes and instead of having her properly diagnosed and medicated, her previous owner just continued to breed her. That's why you will often hear us refer to these people as "greeders Thankfully she is safe in rescue now and has been spayed, had hernia's repaired and is on consistent Insulin and she acts like a very healthy, happy lady. She does have vision impairment from the untreated diabetes but most people would never realize it. She uses a pet door to go out to play and potty all on her own. She gets very excited at feeding time like most Beagles. Other than that she is a calm, quiet, sweet lady who would love a home where her diabetes can continue being managed and she will receive all the love she deserves. We are going to provide her first year supply of insulin and syringes to the amazing person who adopts her. If you are interested in adopting our sweet Stormy Jane please submit the application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog You can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works at funnyfarmpets.org Her adoption fee will be $250, transport will be an additional $200 if she leaves TN where she is currently fostered.

Story
Scout is super sweet and just wants to be loved. He’s good with other dogs, kids, and cats. He is well socialized and he even knows his way around horses and cows as well! This adorable little farm hand is ready to bring the fun to his new home and it's going to be a pleasure to watch him grow into the Very Good Dog he most certainly will be. He is smart and treat motivated so training him will be rewarding and seriously, could he be any more cute? Scout Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Luke is just over a year old and 30 lbs. He's the perfect little size! He was adopted as a puppy and recently returned because his owner's are expecting a baby now and felt he had too much energy. He loves other dogs and people. He does well with kids but might knock over little ones while he plays. He has lived with cats but does try to play with them and will sometimes chase them. He is house and crate trained. Luke would love an active family to call his own again! Luke is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $500. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. Story
weight 35 lbs age 6 adoption donation $499   Toby is the sweetest boy! he’s great with other dogs and adores children. He is fine with cats. He is gentle and loving.  Toby showed up at a  house one day in a rural part of northern Mississippi, Wags looked for an owner, but no one came asking for him. Toby  settled in right away, charming everyone at the rescue and getting along great with all the other dogs. Toby is now in a foster home in New England and looking for a loving home of his own. Toby absolutely loves going to the dog park! He is housebroken as long as he goes regularly. We think Toby would be great in a home with another dog or at least a family that was home a lot, he just loves to be with his people, he is all tail wags and sloppy kisses .  For more information please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  August 19, 2024, 7:04 am
