Story
Beagle Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around a year or 2 old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org.

Story
A nice lady had been helping this dog for over a year. The owner just wouldn't take proper care of her and was breeding her on top of it. Finally the owner surrendered her. Meet our sweet, funny, Stormy Jane. She is a 5 year old (said to be registered) Beagle of about 23 pounds. Stormy has diabetes and instead of having her properly diagnosed and medicated, her previous owner just continued to breed her. That's why you will often hear us refer to these people as "greeders Thankfully she is safe in rescue now and has been spayed, had hernia's repaired and is on consistent Insulin and she acts like a very healthy, happy lady. She does have vision impairment from the untreated diabetes but most people would never realize it. She uses a pet door to go out to play and potty all on her own. She gets very excited at feeding time like most Beagles. Other than that she is a calm, quiet, sweet lady who would love a home where her diabetes can continue being managed and she will receive all the love she deserves. We are going to provide her first year supply of insulin and syringes to the amazing person who adopts her. If you are interested in adopting our sweet Stormy Jane please submit the application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog You can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works at funnyfarmpets.org Her adoption fee will be $250, transport will be an additional $200 if she leaves TN where she is currently fostered.

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. Beagle lovers, where are you? Taylor (Swift) IS AVAILABLE for adoption! Taylor had been adopted but was returned due to her adopter being allergic. Taylor is safe in one of our amazing foster homes and ready to find her forever home! This little lady appears to be a Beagle mix. She is about 10 mo-1yr old and weighs about 30 pounds. She is a very friendly, smart, and loving little girl. She was rescued off the streets and she seems to be very grateful for a safe place, a steady diet, and affection. She knows the command sit both by saying sit and just using the hand signal. She responds well to her name and responds to “come here Taylor”. She loves to play fetch, is learning 'stay' and is house trained (but accidents should be expected as she gets used to her new environment). She walks great on a leash. She rides well in the car. She gets along and plays well with other dogs. She can be a little rough with smaller dogs. She’s great with kids. She is still in the puppy stage and at times playfully nips. She has seen the cats in her foster home through a baby gate and through the cat door. She has sniffed them though the gate and cat door and has not acted aggressively. She is high energy and enjoys playing with the dogs in her foster home but she seems to be able tell when her foster siblings need a break from playing and leaves them alone. She would definitely benefit from a fenced yard or have a dog park she could be brought to to be able to run around off leash and burn off some energy. Taylor loves to have a lap to sit in and loves to sleep glued to your side. She is somewhat timid/afraid when first meeting new people, but given a few minutes and a treat, and then she’s fine. She is sweet little girl and just needs a home of her own. Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Meet Sammie Lou! This adorable senior girl was surrendered to us after her owner passed away. She’s a 10 year old beagle/basset hound mix and she weighs about 48 pounds. She’s SUCH a sweetheart and she’s good with all people and other dogs. Sammie Lou is house trained and knows how to use a dog door.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.August 18, 2024, 5:27 am
