Story
After moving to a smaller home & welcoming a new baby, we've made the difficult decision to rehome our beloved Dexter. He's a 50 lb spunky beagle who loves to snuggle. Dexter needs an experienced owner in a child-free home. While he hasn't lived with cats in 1.5 years, he was very good with them then. He gets along with large dogs but has been snippy with the tiny older dog in the house. Dexter is partially house-trained, he asks to go outside mostly but will use pee pads, especially in bad weather. The main reason for rehoming is increased aggression since our move. Dexter is food-aggressive & possessive of us. He cannot be approached while eating or resting with us. We believe the smaller space & increased noise in neighborhood are causing him extreme stress. With a proper training & a structured spacious new home we believe Dexter can thrive return to his happy, healthy self. We're happy to share more details on his history & behaviors with interested adopters.

Story
Hello world. My name is Kay Baby. I am part of the ditch babies. Our names are Sawyer, Bowe, Everett, Troy and me, Kay Baby I love belly rubs and being held. On May 5th through most of the day on the 6th there had been bad rain storms. Very frightening. Everett was the brave one and went out of the ditch to the road on the morning of May 6th. A nice lady was passing by and saw him. She stopped and caught him. But while doing so, she spotted another one of us. After numerous times trying to catch the baby, she left. The baby in the ditch worried her so Angelina contacted a neighbor who is a dog rescuer. The dog rescue lady got in touch with my foster parents and their rescue, Carlton Rescue- Operation Puppy Love 501c3. So on their way home, they drove past where Everett was found. Upon getting out of the vehicle and calling Puppy, Puppy, Puppy, 3 of us jumped out of the underbrush. Next 3 were Bowe, Sawyer, and Baby Kay. But the last fellow, Troy, was terrified. Instead of being brave and being saved, he ran and hid in a culvert with water flowing through. Daddy Glenn climbed in (even though he has claustrophobia) and saved Troy. Today we are fat, sassy and ready for our own families. We are all very sweet, smart and love to be held along with belly rubs. We would be perfect for families, hiking, camping, going to the lake or any activity with you. I am ready to come home. Please request an application to begin my journey. Story
Hello. Our names are Chief (m) and Addy (f). We have to be the sweetest two babies in the world. Our foster parents think we have Beagle in us. We love picking up scents. When we are in full beagle-sniffing mode, our tails are up in the air, wiggling with joy. It is something to watch us investigate everything. We are not big barkers. We have yet to do the Beagle baying. Throw your head up and bay. We are dog and people social. Chief is very people and treats social, whereas Addy is more reserved. She will warm up to you very quickly. We have been around children and babies. We do not have any manners (jump up). We are sort of house-trained. There were originally three of us when we were found on a deserted road with no houses or people. The family who rescued us was driving home from the grocery store. Our whole world became a bright, fun place. We are so healthy and happy. We are ready to have our own furever home like our brother. We want to play in the leaves with you, go to the apple orchards, search for wild blueberries, and go to the beach or lake. But most of all, we would love to play in the snow and cuddle beside the fireplace. Please send an email to alittlelonger2home@gmail.com requesting an application. Once the application is submitted, the deposit is submitted to reserve me for you to adopt. Story
Lovely Trinket is a sweet, active girl who wants a human to call her own. She wants to catch up with petting, snuggling, and other treats that she probably has never had. She is very friendly and likes to snuggle and give kisses. She loves to play and run with her four-legged buddies. Even though she is smaller, she gives all the other dogs in her foster home a run for their money during playtime. She needs a young, active family with another good-tempered dog.She is ready for belly rubs whenever you are. She is fostered in the country and will bark if deer come up to the fence, but she's not a huge barker. Does well in the crate at night. She gets into a vehicle easily and is a quiet traveler when in the car. She is working on walking on a slip lead and is making progress. She is house-trained and crate-trained and goes easily into her crate but expects a treat for her willingness. She has not been formally cat tested but has not shown interest in them when walking through the cat room in her foster home. She has not lived with children or been around little ones, so children in her home need to be over age 7. If you are looking for a lovely active dog to join our family Lovely Trinket is ready to join you.Name: Lovely TrinketBreed: Beagle/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 22.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 7Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: seems to ignore them  but can be officially tested Adoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Texarkana Tx   IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
