Story
weight 35 lbs age 6 adoption donation $499   Toby is the sweetest boy! he’s great with other dogs and adores children. He is fine with cats. He is gentle and loving.  Toby showed up at a  house one day in a rural part of northern Mississippi, Wags looked for an owner, but no one came asking for him. Toby  settled in right away, charming everyone at the rescue and getting along great with all the other dogs. Toby is now in a foster home in New England and looking for a loving home of his own. Toby absolutely loves going to the dog park! He is housebroken as long as he goes regularly. We think Toby would be great in a home with another dog or at least a family that was home a lot, he just loves to be with his people, he is all tail wags and sloppy kisses .  For more information please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  August 19, 2024, 7:04 am

Story
Meet Sophie and Karma! These sweet beagle ladies are the perfect combination of sweet, soft, and silky. Karma, the bigger girl, is Sophie's daughter and they could go home together or separate. Sophie is a little shy when first meeting someone but warms up quickly. Karma makes friends easily and will even let you play with her big floppy beagle ears. Sophie and Karma have lived with many other dogs before and did well. These two girls love taking long naps and would likely be a good first time dog for most new dog owners. **if you're interested in a Sophie or Karma, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours**

Story
Joker is one of six adorable little souls were rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Mississippi. Found on a property with their mom (who is also available for adoption through us) and many other dogs in dire conditions, their story is one of resilience and hope. A dedicated local rescuer went above and beyond to save as many dogs as possible from that dire situation, and we are thrilled to have this lovely family in our care. Here's a link to their story on FB - be prepared - the pictures are depressing at best:https://www.facebook.com/share/ghrUMnQNEhNQazDB/?mibextid=WC7FNeThese typically sweet puppies are well-socialized with other dogs, animals, and people of all ages. Their momma, April, is a pit/beagle mix who is super gentle and sweet.Joker is doing great with housebreaking and learning commands. He is smart, eager to please, food-motivated, and well-behaved. He is happy to take long naps after a fun play session. Hard chew toys keep him occupied for good chunks of time. He is great in the crate with his sister. Joker is loving, devoted, watchful, cautious, solid, and has a big bark. He enjoys being by his fosters side and follows them in and out. He loves to be loved. This sweet boy is eager to find his forever home and bring joy to his new family. This precious girl immediately warms up to people and dogs. She is a bit of a jumper when greeting, but we are working on that. Jelly Bean is a relatively high energy puppy; food motivated, and is picking up commands quickly. She does play well with other dogs, enjoys napping, but appears to be happiest outside playing and also enjoys exploring anything that catches her attention (birds, squirrels, rabbits, and even insects!)Hard chew toys keep her occupied for good chunks of time. PANDA - original name - PETCO - why you ask - because she was found at a Petco and the person who had her handed her over to a rescuer in Memphis who happened to be there.Just 8-9 weeks as of 7/30, she's super new to us, but we wanted to get her listed as soon as possible because she's just so darn cute.We will keep updating her bio as she grows - she will be old enough to travel to New England in mid-August! New photos will be added as often as possible. If she looks like your next dog, don't hesitate, apply above.Name: PandaBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/BeagleSex: FemaleAge: 8 weeks as of 7/30Weight: 8lbs as of 7/15Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the adopter's responsibility.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  NoMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  Memphis  TN   Puppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England).
