Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cooper was raised in one home since he was a puppy. His life there was very stressful which led to him being fearful of loud noises. Cooper is loving, warm and friendly much of the time. He will need a quiet environment with someone who will give him time and space to feel comfortable in his new surroundings.  Cooper is 7 years old and about 23 pounds. Do you live alone, have no other animals, have a fenced in yard and are able to put him away when you have company.   If so Cooper may be the dog for you.  He is affectionate and playful and enjoys nice long walks.  He is an excellent companion, he just can’t take a lot of excitement. Cooper is a beagle who loves to sniff,  watch him entertain himself here: https://www.facebook.com/NJSHPR/videos/179023767590630 See Cooper's Photo Album here:https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.939474504849701&type=3 If you are interested submit an application at njshpetrescue.org.  * You must live within 90 minutes of Chester NJ to be considered as an in-person home visit is required for all adoptions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 3:28 pm

Story
Remus is a sweet 8 year old Beagle who loves to snuggle. He is a rescue from a lab- which you can see from the tattoos in his ears. Although we love Remus very much, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to try to find him a new home. Unfortunately, he bit our daughter and we cannot risk something happening to her again. Remus is quite the character, he absolutely loves people and would do well in a house with either an older couple or with a family with kids 10+. He has never shown aggression to us or anyone in the past, he has even been great with other kids before, he has just been unsettled with a toddler running around the house. Although we tried some training with him he is still fearful and you can tell he is uncomfortable with her. Remus loves to go for walks and also loves to snuggle up on the couch with his people. Adoption fee is negotiable as we really just want to make sure he finds a good and loving home. Any fee earned will go to a local rescue.

Story
Beagle Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around a year or 2 old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org.

Story
A nice lady had been helping this dog for over a year. The owner just wouldn't take proper care of her and was breeding her on top of it. Finally the owner surrendered her. Meet our sweet, funny, Stormy Jane. She is a 5 year old (said to be registered) Beagle of about 23 pounds. Stormy has diabetes and instead of having her properly diagnosed and medicated, her previous owner just continued to breed her. That's why you will often hear us refer to these people as "greeders Thankfully she is safe in rescue now and has been spayed, had hernia's repaired and is on consistent Insulin and she acts like a very healthy, happy lady. She does have vision impairment from the untreated diabetes but most people would never realize it. She uses a pet door to go out to play and potty all on her own. She gets very excited at feeding time like most Beagles. Other than that she is a calm, quiet, sweet lady who would love a home where her diabetes can continue being managed and she will receive all the love she deserves. We are going to provide her first year supply of insulin and syringes to the amazing person who adopts her. If you are interested in adopting our sweet Stormy Jane please submit the application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog You can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works at funnyfarmpets.org Her adoption fee will be $250, transport will be an additional $200 if she leaves TN where she is currently fostered.

Story
Beagle mixCharlie was born December 8, 2021 to a Cocker Spaniel mom and Beagle dad. He is completely crate trained, and working on house training since he has been in his foster mom’s home. Charlie walks great on a leash, but like any typical Beagle, his nose never leaves the ground. He is extremely sweet natured, and plays well with his four legged foster siblings. If given the chance, Charlie will chase cats. Please send us your phone number if you would like to hear more about Charlie. August 18, 2024, 1:36 pm
