Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cooper is 8 years old and about 23 pounds. He is affectionate, crate trained, enjoys toys and playing fetch, walks nicely on leash and enjoys car rides. Cooper was raised in one home since he was a puppy. His life there was very stressful which led to him being fearful of loud noises.  He will need a quiet environment with someone who will give him time and space to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Cooper is neutered, current on his shots, microchipped, loving, warm and friendly. Do you live alone, have no other animals, have a fenced in yard and are able to put him away when you have company?  If so, Cooper may be the dog for you. He is an excellent companion, he just can’t take a lot of excitement. Cooper is a beagle who loves to sniff,  watch him entertain himself here: https://www.facebook.com/NJSHPR/videos/179023767590630 See Cooper's Photo Album here:https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.939474504849701&type=3 If you are interested, submit an application at njshpetrescue.org.  * You must live within 90 minutes of Chester NJ to be considered as an in-person home visit is required for all adoptions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 31, 2025, 9:17 am

Story
Remus is a sweet 8 year old Beagle who loves to snuggle. He is a rescue from a lab- which you can see from the tattoos in his ears. Although we love Remus very much, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home. Unfortunately, he has shown some aggression and fear towards our daughter and we cannot risk something happening to her. Remus absolutely loves people and would do well in a house with either an older couple or with a family with kids 10+. He has never shown aggression to us or anyone in the past, he has even been great with other kids before, he has just been unsettled with a toddler running around the house. Although we tried some training with him he is still fearful and you can tell he is uncomfortable with her. Remus loves to go for walks and also loves to snuggle up on the couch with his people. Adoption fee is negotiable as we really just want to make sure he finds a good and loving home. Any fee earned will go to a local rescue.

Story
Lily is a 6 year old Beagle Dalmatian mix. She is a loving ball of ENERGY. I got her when she was 2.5 months old fun fact: her name was actually bacon bits when I adopted her! I got her from an SPCA shelter in Virgina. She was a rescue from Puerto Rico. Lily struggles with separation anxiety when left alone for long periods of time (tv helps, loves Bluey). I used to be able to be home with her more because of the pandemic, but unfortunately now I have a new job where I am in the office more than I am home. I love this dog more than life she is the sweetest, but I just do not have the time to tend to her energy and provide her the life she deserves. I want to find Lily a new home with experienced dog owners, that preferably don’t have other dogs. I don’t know how she would respond to a home with another pet since she never had that experience. I want to find her a home where she will get the attention and care she needs, as well as plenty of outlets for all her energy.

Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Please welcome the “Lethal Weapon” crew. Murtaugh, Riggs, Rianne, Lorna, Carrie and Trish were all born to Cricket the Beagle mix. A nice family found her living on her own and in the family way. She was also injured. They took her in and got her healthy and she thanked them by giving birth to the most dangerously adorable 6 pack. These babies were born the first week of December and will be fully vetted and ready to go to forever homes by the end of February. They are all so very loving and playful and with mom only being 33 pounds they should be a perfect medium size when fully grown. Mom is also a super friendly girl and they definitely have her personality. Any one of the pups will make a great addition to any home ready for some puppy love and energy. If you are interested in adopting please submit the application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog and we will email you after your application has been approved and put you in touch with the foster parent to ensure a perfect match as most of the dogs are in TN and won’t transport north until their adoption is finalized. And be sure to check out our public FB page at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue/ to see pictures and live videos of our adoptable dogs and what we are doing every day to make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals while we work hard to find their forever homes. Thank you for choosing to adopt. Your decision saves lives! Adoption fee is $399 and if the pups has to be transported out of TN where it is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 transport fee.
