Story
Hello! I am Shamrock! Need a bit of luck in your life? I`m sure to be your guy! I am entirely too adorable for my own good and can`t wait for a family to choose me. I am playful and silly, always zooming around the yard. I love to go on walks and spend time with my favorite humans. I play with dogs here at the shelter and enjoy the canine companionship. If you are looking for a new best friend, come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
JJ is a neutered male beagle/terrier mix who is a little over 1 year old. He is a good eater and sleeps well at night on a dog bed in my bedroom. He does not like a kennel. He is pretty energetic and athletic and has the zoomies every day. He was found as a stray at Southwest high school. He is sweet and friendly to all, but needs to be worked with to help him not jump up on people. He NEEDS to be in a home with another dog. He is good as long as there is a person or another dog around him. If he is by himself, he cries and bays. He LOVES toys and empties his toy box every day. He has been pretty good about not chewing on anything other than the toys, but has counter-surfed a couple of times with success. Very affectionate and wants to be skin on skin. He can play fetch and follow a few commands. He has been overall pretty good with potty training, but has had some accidents. He does well on a leash and does well in the car. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Here's what my friends at the shelter have to say about me!" This girl is teeny tiny!! I'm actually surprised she's even 36lbs! This is her second time at the shelter almost exactly a year apart. It makes me so sad when they're adopted and then found as strays. She's always so smiley in her kennel, sitting at the front of the door quiet as a mouse yet pleading to come out. She did all of her business outside and showed me her good sits and sweet smiles and allowed me to put bandanas and flowers on her no problem. She has multiple good temp tests and will do anything for a treat, including the agility course outside. She was kinda hard to leash back up as she thought it was a game of chase but she's a good girl!"

Story
DOB 11/03/24 High Energy Adult-Only Home Preferred Not Best for Apartments Working on Housetraining Requires a Fence Dog Friendly Playful Snuggly Hi! My name is Ross, I’m a beagle mix puppy. My momma is a beautiful 17 lbs petite beagle, and according to my littermate’s DNA test result, I am 50% beagle, 30% Collie, 9% Boston Terrier with some other mixed breed. At 13 weeks old I weigh 15 lbs. I have big floppy beagle ears and a curious nose. My soft short coat with unique color and markings can be from Collie, Boston Terrier, and other mixed breeds. Still, I am a typical fun-loving high-energy beagle boy with a super cuddly sweet teddy bear personality. I grew up with my Momma and 5 siblings at my foster family’s home and also I spend lots of time with my foster brother Beagle and 2 Irish Setters. I’m very social and get along with everyone in the family. My foster mom says I’m the family’s favorite and can make anyone happy. If you want a warm, soft, cuddly, and full-of-energy bundle of joy in your life, fill out an adoption application or contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor right away! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). ---------------------------- Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy
