Story
Burton is an 11 year old Beagle/Boston terrier mix who we rescued from unfortunate conditions when we was 4 years old. He is now 11. Burton is a sweet dog who loves nothing more than to just cuddle up on the couch and get all the belly rubs he can! Unfortunately due to his past, he is very reactive and protective of those he loves and it takes him a long time to get comfortable around new people. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old child and as much as it breaks our heart, we no longer have the time to properly give Burton the love and attention he needs. Burton has had a number of biting incidents when people have entered the house unexpectedly or approached him too quickly before he trusted them. He would be best in a home without many guests and with someone experienced in helping him resolve these fears. He is an extremely food motivated dog and is therefore easily trainable given the time and dedication.

Story
Heartworm Prevention: 14th of every month Flea and Tick: 14th of every month Luna is a very sweet, friendly and high energy girl! She's a year old and likes lots of exercise. Enjoys going on walks with the volunteers. Likes to sniff and sniff and sniff. Very interested and excited by birds and animals that she sees outside. She is housebroken as long as she's not left for long periods without being able to go outside. Luna would be a great fit for a household with adults or teenage children. She's not good with cats. She's coming out of her shell since being here with us and is enjoying herself more and more! PA 1137

Hi, my name is Phyllis I am an adorable little lady looking for a family. You need to work a little to get to know me! I can be shy at first, but very affectionate when I know you well. I walk like a lady on leash and have great manners all around. I don`t like other animals, but would enjoy having adult human friends. I am a true mama dog, I take care of the people I care about and will bark when I see a stranger. It`s hard being a mama dog with no family...it just doesn`t make sense! If you want someone to watch over you, give you unconditional love, and warm your heart forever, please come visit me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
