Meet the very adorable  Duke  Ralphie! This guy is hysterical…Mr.Personality! Don’t let his size fool you. He is not some cutie patootie couch potato. This boy is looking for ADVENTURE!!! Duke  Ralphie came to us from a small town where he used to be safe to visit his friends and neighbors with no trouble. But something changed in a neighbor and she was out to get the little guy and would actually try to run over him. Duke  Ralphie’s family actually loved him but they had no way to keep him safe so they agreed to let us help find him a new home. Duke  Ralphie is possibly a beagle/jack russel/chihuahua mix. He may weigh in at about 25-30 pounds, but again he is not the typical little. This guy could run the Rice track, hike for miles, dog park, coffee shop, bar hop with the best of them. We are doing much better in the crate but will require a heavy-duty kennel that she can't chew out of. If left too long in the kennel she will pee on her bed.Energy level: She has two speeds, playful and snuggly. Any issues with guarding? NoneLeash reactivity? Isn't the best on a leash but improving.Fearful? Needs to be snuggled during thunderstorms.Aggression? Only when frightened.Separation anxiety? Yes, if you leave the room, she will be right behind you. She just wants to give all her love to someone.

Marley is a sweet dog. My husband has had him since he was a puppy. He is going on 7 years old. He is friendly, loves to run around and play with kids. We both have a full time job and a toddler and wxpecting, so we feel bad that we don't give him the attention he deserves. We are hoping someone who can spend time with him will adopt him.

My heart breaks to even be writing this because of how difficult of a decision it is. I rescued Nash in December of 2018 from Harris County AS while volunteering. He was labeled as a stray, very malnourished, was heartworm positive and had kennel cough. Once I brought him home, he was very shy and it took him a few months to warm up, however, over those few months I realized he had some triggers that would cause him to snap or bite (picking him up, anything to do with his feet being messed with, spanked, or if he felt threatened/or like he was going to be hurt). He is such a sweet boy 99% of the time -- does well with men and women, doesn't bother children, likes other dogs, etc., he just has triggers that have required an immense amount of adjustment over the last 6 years. He has bitten me a few times and recently bit my boyfriend who unfortunately tried to pick him up. I am unfortunately entering a place in my life where I'm no longer able to make those accommodations.
