Additional information about this animal is available as of August 10th, 2024. It will be provided to an interested party or rescue. Dog Day Out notes from last week: Today, I was so happy to get out of my kennel! I got to put on a collar and harness, and I got to go in a car!! I love the car! I wanted to help drive, but my new friends said I should eat cookies instead, so I looked out the window. I love going for walks! We walked a long way! I wanted to be in front, but my friends would stop, so I got to give them snuggles when they did that – I like snuggles more than cookies! We saw so many things! People and dogs and lots and lots of bikes! I don't worry about those things though, I have my friends! I almost tried to catch a squirrel, but it got away. That's okay; I gave more snuggles to my friends! Oh! And on the way back, I took a nap – I loved the quiet time. Three Words to Describe Me are affectionate – snuggly - and friendly. Notes from My Walker: Traviesa is such a delight! She pulls on the leash, but it seems like she just never got a chance to learn how to walk on a leash before. She did amazing on the busy trail – we saw bikes, walkers, and dogs, and she was non-reactive to almost everything. The small, barky dog got her attention, but he started talking first, and she displayed interest, with no reactive lunging or barking. She is not a cookie girl, but she LOVES to snuggle. We love it when dogs on the trail check in with their human friends, but Traviesa was at another level; she would stop and lean in for a hug before continuing the walk! She is a sweet, gentle, loving dog who deserves a home that will let her learn and give her the chance to be a fantastic companion dog.

Hi there! My name is Noonoo, and I’m a 13-month-old bundle of energy and joy! I’m a playful and active pup who loves adventures and staying on the move—I can hike for three hours straight without getting tired! I’m looking for a new owner who has the time and energy to keep up with me and provide lots of love and companionship. My current owner loves me dearly but has a busy schedule and can’t spend as much time with me on workdays as I need. If you’re ready for a loyal, fun-loving companion to brighten your days, I’m your dog!

Story
Odette is a cheerful and spirited Belgian Malinois who loves the outdoors and can keep up with an active lifestyle. She is gentle and affectionate, often giving sweet kisses to her fosters and handling her treats and toys with care. Playful and social, Odette enjoys the company of other dogs when properly introduced. Odette thrives when she has a job to do and appreciates a home where her humans can delegate tasks to her. She loves to stay productive but also cherishes essential snuggle time. She is well-behaved in the house, enjoys cuddling on the couch, and sleeps on the bed near the pillow. However, Odette is not suited for first-time dog owners, homes with small children, small pets, or cats due to her high prey drive. A fence might slow her down, but it won't stop her from chasing critters. Belgian Malinois are historically herding animals and can make excellent guard dogs. Odette would thrive in a home with ample space to roam and attentive humans who can provide her with the mental and physical stimulation she needs. Additionally, Odette loves camping, making her an ideal companion for outdoor adventures. She is ready to begin her forever adventure. To schedule a meet and greet, fill out the online application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RTUG/Dog. A volunteer will respond in a few days.

Story
Doom is a super sweet dog that needs someone who has a lot of time for him each day. He has a lot of anxiety when going into unknown situations but he is very loyal and sweet to the people he loves. He is fine with our cats, tries to chase them but not hurt them. He would probably love another dog friend to bond with as well. He’s happy with relaxing inside just as much as going out for walks. He also has some skin issues that my brother has tried to correct with food and baths etc that has gotten better. He is crate trained as well. Unfortunately we need to rehome him due to my brother having to work two jobs and not have the time Doom deserves.

Story
FOSTER CARE! Hello, my name is Bebe and I'm a 4 year old, spayed, smooth German Shepherd/Pitbull mix that currently weighs about 54 lbs. I'm an affectionate girl that starts off on the timid side. Once I'm comfortable, I enjoy belly rubs and daily walks! I'm hoping for a quiet home that understands that I am a wonderful, but sensitive lady who will need time to adjust into a new setting. Once I'm settled, I'm the epitome of good etiquette. I am calm and demure, most of the time. I've been known to be a fence climber when I want to be with my people. I love the game of chase! Especially with small critters like birds and squirrels so I prefer to be the only pet in the household. My foster family says I'm crate trained (I sleep there at night) and I've had minimal accidents in the house. I'm also a pro at sitting for treats! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Bebe! ID# A946402   Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by following these instructions: Please submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile. When you email your adoption profile, please include a few sentences about why you're interested in adopting me specifically and why you think I'd be a good fit for your family! Please also tell us a little bit about your dog experience, if any. Story
Well, hello! My name is Hershey and I'm a spayed, 9-month-old, German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who currently weighs around 55 lbs. but will most likely be around 74 to 80lbs. as an adult. I'm an energetic and effervescent girl that LOVES to play in the water! I would be the perfect companion to beach goers, river rafters or sprinkler hoppers! I can be a little uncertain on how to make doggy friends so I'm hoping to continue working on my social skills and impulse control with an active, loving family. I can't wait to meet everyone in the household including any resident dogs before I head home. Just ask Customer Service about Hershey! ID# A955664 I recently spent time with a volunteer! Here's how I did: I took Hershey out for the first time today. She was really eager to get out. Luckily the yard was available because this girl LOVES to fetch and LOVES the water! She ran happily in the yard chasing balls and splashing around. She knows drop so it’s easy to trade balls and keep her running. I also took her for a walk. She needs some work on leash manners but did not pull really hard - probably due to running zoomies before! She is affectionate.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hi there! My name is Luna and I'm a spayed, 1-year-old, German Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 45lbs. My friends here at PHS say I'm a ball of energy (I jump for joy when I'm excited!) but sometimes I'm unsure about trying new things. I'm hoping for a new family that has experience helping playful girls like me broaden their horizons. Since I'm still working on my manners and impulse control, I'd like to meet any resident dogs before I officially join the family to make sure we'll be a good match. I hope to be the classiest lady so training is a must! I promise to be the sweetest girl you will ever meet!
