Story
Hi there! My name is Ryan and I'm a very energetic dog. I came to the shelter as a scared stray and am still nervous of new people and novel situations. I am young and need work on training and manners and would need an experienced adopter to help me become the best me I can be. I ask any children in the home be over 8 years old due to my anxious and high energy behaviors. I could potentially do well with another dog with a proper introduction. I have not been around cats before but would be willing to try with someone who has experience. I know I am worth the work. I just need someone to help me be my best. If you think you have the home for me, come down to the shelter and lets meet.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Story
This active, healthy pup was born June 4 on the family farm with many areas to run and explore. Their mother, the family farm dog, is an Australian Shepherd mix. The father is a Belgium Malinois/Dutch Shepherd Hybrid. This mix is sure to prove athletic and easy to train because of its high intelligence. The pup is alert and energetic with a dark coat. Pup was dewormed at 6 weeks (7/15)(7.4 lbs) and vetted at 8 weeks (7/28)(12.12 lbs.) with a full physical exam, vitals check, and 5-in-1 vaccine. Pups were also screened for intestinal parasites and dewormed. Records available.

Story
Max is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois. He is very smart, protective and sweet to his family. He gets along with our corgi but not our cat. We keep him in a crate at all times when. We live on 10 wooded acres where he gets to run and play all day. He loves chasing his jolly ball, playing in the creek and going for rides on the gator. We do have the shock collar on him when he’s outside with us and he listens very well. However we had 2 incidents where he bit a fed ex guy and he bit my sons friend. He did complete a 2 week board and train program at Stateline Canine where he did great. This is a very hard decision for our family, we all love Max dearly. But unfortunately with all the kids that come and go here we just don’t want to see anyone get hurt. I honestly think he’s just a little fearful around people and is trying to protect us. I think Max would be the perfect working dog for someone in the police force. Or perhaps someone with some land and time to decide to him!

Story
Tonto is a young Belgian Malinois mix (DOB 2/13/23).  He has been bounced around a few times in his young life and recently joined the rescue after a short stint at an auto garage.  He is shy and lacking in life experience but very sweet.  Tonto has lived with other dogs and would benefit from having a confident canine sibling to show him the ropes.  He loves to play with other dogs and is respectful with the sassy female dog in his foster home.  He will mark inside but has no problem wearing a belly band and he has greatly improved with keeping his crate clean overnight. Tonto enjoys car rides and is good on a leash.  He was allowed to roam when he stayed at the auto garage, and he will wander off for an adventure if given the opportunity.  Because of this, his ideal home is one with a fenced in yard. He has done well with the cat and children in his foster home (ages 6, 8, and 10).  He is not at all snappy but, due to his shyness, he would do best in a home with dog savvy kids who can take things at his pace.  To adopt Tonto, apply through the website at www.companimals.org.  He will be neutered and fully vetted prior to adoption. Adoption donation $400.  Working breed experience a plus! Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 August 19, 2024, 8:52 am

Story
Eva is a 4 year old spayed female belgian malinois who weighs 55 pounds. She is a typical Malinois that bonds to her human, but she is on the calmer side. Eva has tested well with other dogs, keeps her kennel clean and is a sweet girl. She would love a human that would center their attention on just her! Eva is crate trained, walks well on a leash and we know that her perfect person is out there. She has started learning commands, loves going for walks and she gets so excited to see her people.
