Story
This beautiful soul has been on an incredible journey, enduring a challenging stay at the shelter, waiting and hoping for a loving forever home. Despite his stunning looks and heartwarming personality, Apollo remained overlooked for months. He's a dog who's seen the worst of it yet still holds onto hope and love. Finally liberated from the confines of the shelter, Apollo's enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. His heart is filled with joy, and he's ready to share that boundless affection with a family who sees the gem he truly is. Apollo's a big boy with an even bigger heart. He adores the company of other dogs and revels in playtime. However, he thrives on structure, guidance, and plenty of activity. Smart as a whip, Apollo's intelligence and quick learning skills will astound you. This sweet boy, at around 3 years old and weighing between 60-65lbs, deserves a home that matches his spirit—a place with experienced, loving humans who understand the needs of a larger dog like him. Living in Houston, Apollo has bravely battled heartworm, a common challenge in these parts. But fear not, Scout’s Honor is ensuring Apollo receives the best care. Whether you choose to adopt him now or after he's cleared, we'll continue covering his medical expenses, ensuring he gets the care he needs. He's a fighter and with your support, he'll come out stronger than ever. If your heart swells at the thought of giving Apollo the home he dreams of, please consider fostering or adopting him. Start the journey by filling out an application at www.scoutshonor.org. Your love and compassion could be the key to unlocking Apollo's happily ever after. Story
Meet Boots – A Loyal Companion Searching for a Second Chance After 9 years of being a devoted family dog, Boots is now in need of a new home—through no fault of his own (his owners had to move over seas and the home he was going to go through fell through at the last minute). This sweet, well-mannered Mountain Dog/Roitte/Labrador mix has spent his life showering his people with love, and now he’s hoping to find someone who will do the same for him. Boots is the perfect combination of gentle, affectionate, and easygoing. He gets along wonderfully with kids, other dogs, and even cats. He loves walks, belly rubs, and just being by your side—he’s not demanding, just a loyal friend who wants to be part of the family. Why Boots is the Perfect Companion: &#226&#156&#148 Well-Mannered & Social – Loves people of all ages and makes friends easily &#226&#156&#148 Calm & Gentle – No jumping or furniture climbing, just polite companionship &#226&#156&#148 Loyal & Loving – A devoted dog who bonds deeply with his humans &#226&#156&#148 Great House Manners – Knows basic commands and politely asks to go outside &#226&#156&#148 Healthy & Ready for His Next Chapter – Neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped Losing the only home he’s ever known is heartbreaking, but Boots still has so much love to give. He deserves a family who will cherish him for the incredible dog he is. If you’re looking for a faithful, well-behaved companion, Boots is ready to fill your life with love. Boots is waiting for his second chance—could it be with you? This sweet boy is in boarding no understanding where his family went so we would love to get him in a foster or forever home soon!March 8, 2025, 4:50 pm

Story
If you would like more information about Rosie or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to katy.luciana@gmail.com or contact this number, 713-502-0516 Hello! My name is Rosie. I am a beautiful, chill, almost 7 year old Great Pyrenees. I need a home because my human passed away suddenly last month. I miss my human and would love another person or family to bond with. Here are some notes about me from my human’s family: Rosie gets along well with people and with most dogs; she will sometimes display dominance behavior with other female dogs, but she is never aggressive. She will bark when other dogs are barking; otherwise, she is not an annoying barker. She is housetrained but not crate-trained. She doesn't chew up things in the house. She has never been around cats, so we don't know how she would be with cats. We have all of Rosie’s vet records since she was a puppy, and all her vaccinations are current. Rosie is currently in a temporary living situation with a family in Kingwood, TX, but no one in our family is able to provide a permanent home or longer-term foster as we already have all the pets we can care for. We can take her within a 6 hr radius of either Houston or Austin easily and are happy to pay transport costs for a good home farther away as well.
