If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi!  My name is Haley, and I am a cuddle machine whose favorite place is a loving lap.   I am a 7 pound Shichon (Shih Tzu/Bichon) girl who was born 3/5/19. I have a grade III to IV heart murmur, but I have lived 5 years with no issues. Heart murmurs in dogs who have survived beyond puppyhood, are rarely an issue.  Having survived being bred several times, the vets say I will die of something else. I am smart!  I learned all by myself how to use a step to get onto my foster mom’s bed and I learned how to use a doggy door by watching the other dogs.  I need a quiet, all-adult home with an owner who is wanting a canine love machine. If you have been waiting for a totally affectionate little dog whose favorite activity is to cuddle with my caregiver, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Highlights: -Needs a confident canine sibling-Needs a patient, experienced adopter-Prefers older children Have you ever met a dog that might also double as a private investigator? Meet Rosa, a 12-pound female Bichon who is a curious and thoughtful little pup, carefully investigating humans at her own pace.Rosa is discovering that humans can be safe and kind, and she's looking for someone with the patience to let her continue growing at her own speed. With her sweet and calm demeanor, Rosa loves the company of other dogs, finding comfort and joy in their presence. At puppy parties, she's a social butterfly, making many friends and enjoying her time with other dogs. She will need a secure yard to keep her safe as she learns to walk on a leash. Rosa loves treats, which will be very helpful for future training endeavors. She'll thrive with another more confident dog in her home to help her learn the ropes and become the loving companion she's destined to be.Are you ready to welcome this gentle investigator into your home? Rosa is excited to find a loving family who will help her grow and thrive, bringing endless joy and companionship.- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
