She is nervous and scared but is making progress each day as she starts to work on receiving pets and interactions with people.Jonica absolutely loves the company of other dogs and feels most comfortable when she’s around a confident canine friend. She enjoys snuggling and sharing her bed with her doggy pals, finding comfort and security in their presence. Having another dog in her new home will be essential to help her continue to grow and build trust with people.She’s making strides every day toward learning that her new world is safe and full of love. If you have a calm home and a gentle heart, Jonica is ready to start her journey with you.- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
