Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 10, 2025, 9:00 am

Story
Milo is a hyper-active dog that lOVES attention. He is best fit for a youth/teenager to keep up with his energy. Milo is a very happy and kind dog but is sensitive to change and new environments. He was also raised with his parents, and is somewhat potty trained but needs a little more training. Milo does occasionally have reverse sneezing when he gets a little too excited, but it’s normal.

Hello, are names are: Maxx & MoxxeeDOB: 10/24/2008Breed: Bichon Frise/Yorkshire Terrier Weight: Maxx is 28.5 lbs, Moxxee is 14.5 lbsRescued From: Owner surrender*MAXX & MOXXEE ARE BONDED AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER*Maxx and Moxxee are a 16-year-old brother and sister who have lived their entire lives together. Their family reached out for help after their schedules changed and they felt Maxx and Moxxee deserved more attention. We had a willing foster family, so we accepted them with open arms, ensuring they didn’t end up in the shelter system. Now that they are all cleaned up and feeling good, they are ready to find a family who will love them for whatever time they have left. Maxx is Moxxee’s guardian – the way he watches over her is incredible. She is frailer than he, and doesn’t have as much stamina. They both sleep a lot and love a cozy bed or couch. Maxx enjoys walks with his other canine foster siblings too. They go to the bathroom outside and use pee pads inside. Maxx and Moxxee have been nothing but sweet despite all of the changes around them. Having a fenced yard to meander around would be ideal for them, but they would also be content with leash walks. We adore this senior duo and cannot wait to find the perfect, caring adopter that will love them and care for them in their golden years. Seniors are the best!!All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Luca! Breed: Bichon Frise Estimated DOB: 11/07/2021 Sex: Male - neutered Weight: 9 lbs Currently up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations Things to Know About Luca: Rescued from a puppy mill situation in Mississippi, Luca is getting his first taste of a safe and loving life. Currently undergoing heartworm treatment through TLC Rescue and is doing well with his medication. Timid and shy due to limited human interaction in his past, but making progress daily. He’ll thrive with a patient adopter who can help him build confidence. Has a good appetite but is still learning to feel comfortable eating in front of people. Gets very excited at mealtime with lots of tail wags and happy circles. Very low-energy; happy to just relax and be left alone. He doesn’t require much but would benefit from someone experienced with breeder dogs or who enjoys small dogs like him. Still adjusting to human touch and interaction but will allow you to pick him up without issue and was accommodating during a bath. Not yet interested in toys but is starting to explore his environment. Cooperates well during bath time Crate trained—his crate is his safe spot, and he spends most of his time there. Doing well with housetraining - Needs a leash when outside to guide him back in, but he’s cooperative when gently handled. Good with other dogs but doesn’t interact much with them. Has not been assessed with cats yet. A gentle soul looking for a loving and patient adopter who can help him learn to trust, explore, and enjoy life. Luca makes progress each day, and with the right person, he’ll blossom into the happy, confident companion he deserves to be. Story
Ashley is a true gem! With her gentle nature and laid-back demeanor, she’s the perfect addition to a calm home. She has lived harmoniously with cats and friendly dogs and gets along well with children, making her a fantastic companion for many households. For nearly 15 years, Ashley has been a cherished class pet in a childcare program. Due to a demanding work schedule, her previous owner found it increasingly difficult to provide her with the attention and care she needs as an elderly dog. They made the difficult decision to surrender her, hoping to find a loving home where Ashley can receive the attention she deserves. Now, at 15 years old, Ashley enjoys lounging on her favorite pillow, savoring treats, and soaking up the comfort of indoor life. While she occasionally likes to venture outside with supervision, she’s happiest curled up indoors. Due to her age, Ashley prefers a home without stairs and will signal when she needs to go outside by barking. It’s important to take her out promptly to avoid any accidents. Ashley thrives in a peaceful environment and loves Gospel music and belly rubs. She gets a burst of excitement when her people come home, greeting them with a wagging tail and joyful spirit. Given her diminished sight and hearing, she would benefit from having someone home with her most of the time. Ashley deserves the very best, and we’re dedicated to finding her a loving, forever home. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, and you’re looking to share your life with a sweet senior dog, please fill out our Adoption Application on our website: https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoptable-pets
